Funny, DC teacher sent out an email to the class offering her tutoring services over the summer. I thought she was an awful teacher, and thought about reporting her but wasn't sure it was against the rules. Dh convinced me to drop it, but nice to know I could have.
Unless DC was in some sort of multi age or looping class, and will have the teacher again next year, this would have been acceptable, tacky, but not against the rule. The rule is designed to keep a teacher from creating business for herself by giving bad grades and then insisting she must tutor your kid to help them "improve". So by the end of the school year/summer this would no longer be a concern.
It's not acceptable if you are using FCPS email to drum up private business.
