Did you register in dual enrollment through the high school? If so, then your student's counselor should have accounted for that as part of their schedule. If you take 1 class at MC, then you take 5 classes at HS. 2 classes at MC and you typically take 4 classes at HS. Your counselor should be coordinating with your student to ensure that they are taking classes that meet HS graduation requirements and that the credits transfer back to MCPS.

Registered DE through the school in close consultation with the DE coordinator. Guidance counselor filled out the form requesting PT schedule together with my kid -- and the assistant principal denied the request. SMH

this is really annoying. this is not a kid trying to do less school. this is a kid with multiple AP classes AND a college class who doesn't want to take an academic "elective" to kill time and fill a slot.

If MCPS doesn't have a rule restricting abbreviated schedules to seniors, would a HS be allowed to make that a rule anyway?
