I would tweak the above situation. Instead of just announcing to your spouse you are off duty completely for the next 3 days-have a conversation as a team. Your spouse could be burned out too. Work out together what will help. Otherwise by making a decision yous spouse is to do everything for 3 days without any input from your spouse if that works, you become one of the takers. If my husband were not burned out too he would probably be fine with it as long as I presented it in a way I value his thoughts too. [/quote]
