We live in SW Florida, which as i've said on here before, is like a place that exists outside of normal fashion trends. Belt bags aren't a thing here. I started pointing them out to DH and the excessiveness of it is overwhelming.

So yeah, definitely not classic, definitely just a thing people are doing to be cool, and there is no way you can try and argue they are "highly functional".  They're just not, relative to other existing types of classic bags. You're just trying to justify the absurd trend.

And yes, like another poster, i remember 1990 fanny packs being an intense rage for 3 years.  The pendulum swung so far back off that one, that fanny packs were literally the thing that people pointed to for 25 years as "wow we do really dumb things to be trendy".  [/quote]
