The one thing I find difficult about being around elders is the volume at which they play the TV, at whatever hour, and the fact that hearing loss also causes some elders to perpetually shout. I work in home health so I have encountered this a lot. I got some earplugs made for musicians and concert goers which allows the clarity of sound but much reduces the decibel levels - highly recommend, mine are called Eargasms, but I’m sure there are other brands of the same type.
