First I am sorry you had to take this very difficult decision. I am sure it was not easy.

Good for you for taking care of yourself. I am religious but pro being responsible which means being pro choice and pro mental health care for women.

My religious mom was pro life but also practical. I probably would not have told her but may have told my mother in law who is not religious but also practical.

Only you know your parents well enough to judge whether this would be wise  - not us in the DCUM peanut gallery.

MD does have good therapists - it might be wise to talk about it with a therapist first to process your feelings.
