[/quote] I agree that Hutchinga’ vision survives which is why there needs to be push back against destroying TAG and AP classes (I say this as a parent of a student with disabilities who likely with never qualify for either). If ACPS wants every student to succeed (per their slogan) some need TAG and/or AP classes just liked my child needed specialized instruction that wasn’t provided. Equity means ACPS might need to provide different things to different students. I am afraid ACPS just views “equity” as way to bring those who are actually succeeding down to the middle (and to take away programs while paying lip service to groups like students with disabilities).[/quote]
