The resort we stayed in had snorkeling off the beach, which was great because we could just walk in and see amazing variety of wildlife (including a wayward shark, and sea turtles). I went scuba diving where they essentially hold your hand and you do nothing beyond not panicking; it was incredible and I’m going to learn how to. I know that they have an age cutoff, but it’s something like 10. There was a dive family on the boat with us, and the younger kid snorkeled with one parent while the other dove with the older kid.[/quote]
