I'm set for an egg retrieval but I want to reschedule. I'm 10 pounds heavier than I was when we started this process. 5'5 235lbs and while I'm under the 42bmi requirement it's really not by much. I have PCOS and just been really stressed. Not making excuses but I now have some time off work to focus on myself and I feel like when I go in for labs my Dr will be disappointed with my weight and I should just push it back until I'm closer to 200 lbs. 36 and my partner has a male infertility diagnosis. My AMH is fine, thanks to PCOS. My Dr isn't worried about timing but now I'm freaking out
That is a lot of pressure to put on yourself—particularly if you have PCOS. You want to lose 35lbs?
Ideally but I know it won't happen soon. I guess I was hoping to even get to 215 before retrieval. Technically I'm under the BMI requirement but not by much. I'll ask for an anesthesia consult and see if they will move forward. I met my Dr when I was around 225 and she wasn't worried about egg quality or amount of eggs....sigh. It just feels hard
