[/quote] I’ve been called 4 times in 15 years. Two different judges (one in DC Superior and one in federal court) made a point to say that lawyers aren’t automatically going to get excused (it made everyone chuckle at the time, but it’s frustrating because in every other city I’ve lived in, lawyers automatically get excused). I’ve also had colleagues serve. I’m sure there are some DC lawyers who have gotten booted from the outset, but I don’t think that’s the norm.[/quote]
