First, you have to learn to be organized which includes establishing places for everything, regularly tidying and purging periodically. After growing up in a cluttered house, it took me about 10 years to learn this. Then, you have to learn to clean (ie remove dirt). This took me a few years after getting a handle on organizing. The internet helps a lot with cleaning. Marie Kondo’s original book was my best help with regard to organizing. Not really the “spark joy” part but the process (pile, purge, make containers).
