The line of who to tip is so arbitrary. I try my best to avoid any type of counter service place that ask for tips, but it’s not always possible. Pushback is getting bigger and bigger. Last week, I went to a coffee shop with a friend. My order was taken and I tipped a dollar on a $5 bill. The order was wrong and I waited for 20 min and received moldy fruit. They refunded my order and I ordered something else. You would think there should be an option for the worker to cancel the tip request for the second go around, but there it was again, a request for a 25% tip. It’s just so irritating. [/quote]
