So small school no JV. If 15 freshmen try out that is pretty good. You could have a JV with that number. If 15 come out and no JV, they will cut about 9-10. Remember you have 10th -12th already on the team.
 
ECNL freshmen usually makes the varsity and will get some playing time or maybe start depending. Next up will be the good players in ECNL-R or similar league. They maybe make the team but level of commitment to them varies greatly. Anything from make varsity and get some blowout minutes to make varsity but only dress for home games or not(basically a practice player) with no playing time even in blowout or meaningless games.

Most will quit without playing time by 10th or 11th. Some stick it out as a bench player. I really do not understand that. There is just too many other things to do. [/quote]
