She somehow escaped a DUI even though everyone in our neighborhood knows about it.

Then a good friend’s sibling put someone in the ICU after crashing into them after a dinner out that included drinking. I won’t even get into the people that drink while their small kids are swimming in a lake.

After these events I stopped attending drinking events and only have a drink if it is 1:1 with another family or couple and we all agree that we’ll walk or have designated drivers. No way am I getting caught up in that mess. These situations are always fine until they’re not.[/quote]
