We worked together and she would make "jokes" about my clothes and hair, give me unsolicited advice, make comments when we took group photos at events about how I my expression or pose was screwing up the symmetry of the photo. Ftr, I'm not ugly. I think I'm pretty average looking and can be pretty if I put some effort in. I have some flaws (not amazing skin, and my teeth are crooked), but lots of people have stuff like that. I have no idea why she did this but it was brutal and I was really miserable in that job. We now have kids close in age and live in the same neighborhood and seeing her gives me a stomach ache.[/quote]

What a horrible human being she is! I wish you could simply pretend she doesn't exist, but I understand realistically that's not possible. There are always minor cosmetic things that can help improve one's appearance. Crooked teeth nbd, but could invest in whitening strips to improve that aspect at least? Go to a hairdresser and get an updated cut, together with advice on how to style. I wouldn't bother with sundresses, too obvious imo, but make sure your joggers fit well and are flattering. Pair with tank tops, cute sandals, and pretty jewelry. Time dropoffs and pickups so that you are the very first one there, if possible. In and out, fast like the wind![/quote]
