Take a class together, read a book together, watch a tv show together. Just do something that is a new experience that will generate things to talk about.
Reading a book together is great. I had an ex who turned out to be awful, but one great thing we did was read War and Peace together. We'd read some out loud each night. My husband is great, love him dearly, he's way better than this ex, but I don't think he'd go for reading a book. Sigh.
It doesn’t have to be a book, just something you do together, and your husband might surprise you. For example, I once asked my husband to take ballroom dance classes and by golly he did it! I didn’t think he would, but he did! You could also have him listen to the audiobook for example if he doesn’t like to read. Or you can watch a documentary. Just something interesting that you both might like.
