It’s a very nice community.  Some of the teachers are fabulous, some are good, and most are somewhere in Between.  The school itself is enormous so things like the hallways and cafeteria always feel really overcrowded.  Parents could not attend 8th grade promotion ceremony because no room.  So if you are expecting a small school feel, you will be disappointed.  There are definitely some disciplinary problems and the kids complain about kids doing drugs or fighting but I think that’s somewhat exaggerated because MS kids feed off drama so the gossip mill magnifies everything.  The curriculum is that same as all MCPS middle schools which means English and science largely stink.  But there are a lot of kids who are really committed to learning and bring a positive energy to the classrooms.  [/quote]
