Smart is important, smart AND a demonstrated work ethic is the whole package.[/quote] UCLA also has one of the highest percentages of first gen students, most of whom had probably worked throughout their high school years. DD is at UCLA and worked in the summers, but not throughout the school year during high school. It is truly one of the most all-around diverse schools in the country. [/quote]
