I have hosted half a dozen baby showers both before and after having kids. If my husband has taken my kids out of the house for a few hours, then I definitely don't want to smell shit, or hear kids crying, and when I'm throwing a nice party don't want to worry about a kid pulling down decorations, licking things, dropping food, etc. [/quote]
