Republicans want Military spending which brings technological innovations, libs want a welfare dependent society where the successful subsidize the lazy and stupid (the libtard option doesnt move us forward)
Not all spending is on technical advances. The department of defense wastes money like crazy. I should know, my husband works for contractors and in the last 5 years not a single project he has worked on was actually implemented by the department of defense. Meaning DOD spends crazy amounts of money, but a significant percentage of that investment is thrown away and usually from the decision of a single federal employee. IF the pentagon was planning for the cuts then maybe it would be implemented in a smart manner to eliminate people and projects that are wasteful. However, its just not going to happen that way. In the agency I used to work with, the 2011 budget cuts resulted in job losses of young, talented people to keep the old and problematic folks. 2013 cuts really will make the government more incompetent if that's even possible.
