I'm surprised that people think sub-3 for instruction is pretty OK? Are these usually very harshly graded? Almost no distinguished ratings at all & majority basic in one category? Agree that class enviornment/behavior management seems decent. But then looks at the assignments... Every single assignment except one K assignment was rated minimal?! That seems pretty... bad. I guess I don't know that much about how these are normally graded and I agree that 2R4 doesn't look like a trainwreck, but it looks... adequate at best?

I don't disagree with you, but if you are trying to lottery into a charter like TR, "adequate at best" may actually be an improvement. It really just depends on your point of comparison. There are many better schools than TR in the city, but there are also many worse schools, and it all depends on which kids of school you have access to. On the East side, TR is an upgrade over many other schools.[/quote]
