I’ve taught over 20 years, divided between public and private. The private school students are much more respectful. I get thanked after every class by at least 1/3 of the students. I usually only have to redirect behavior once and the problem is solved, usually with an apology. I’ve taught wonderful, polite students at my former public school. Unfortunately, they were often outnumbered by the students who have learned that they can get away with disrespectful behaviors. I pulled my own kids and put them in private.[/quote]
