I feel the same way same times of the month as well the sheer rage I feel is very concerning. I have just tried to stay to myself but can't always do that. Chamomile tea at night two bags steeped for 10 min sometimes takes the edge off but makes me very sleepy the next day.
I have this too but my doctor told me the rage part is unlikely menopause/peri related. ☹️
I don't agree with your Dr.'s assessment. It is at least somewhat related. However... peri/meno happen to coincide with a very busy and stressful period in many women's lives. Most women 45-55 have some combination of the following: peak productivity and stress in their careers, children still at home who require guidance and support, aging parents and family members who require more support than they used to, a home that requires some level of maintenance to keep running, a spouse who needs emotional or physical support... and this is best case scenario without special needs, illness or physical limitations. It's all... a lot. A certain level of moodiness and rage at the pace of life and the fact that many women take on the bulk of the emotional labor in their families is to be expected.
