It's highly likely all the other pools in your division will be operating under the exact same constraints.  That is, unless they made their "athletes" commit to truncating the school year at Memorial Day.  Trying to hold a divisional meet with half a team on July 5th would be an even greater challenge IMO.  So chalk it up to some good foresight and planning by league officials.[/quote]

So you think the results of the Relay Carnival are going to push one middle of the pack Division 8 team to Division 1 glory and send another middle of the pack Division 8 team to the cellar of NVSL?  Dream on!  Relay Carnival is mostly just for fun, and has little bearing on how teams are seeded in subsequent years.  At most, the Relay Carnival points might factor into the seeding decisions on the order of 1 division level which is really in the noise anyway. [/quote]
