[/quote] OP here- kids is 12. He seems to be in a position that won’t advance his skills for that sport. I had the fear that angling for a specific position before tryout won’t go over well. [/quote] Is it basketball? Kids who grow early get pegged as bigs, never develop the skills required to play small and then are discarded if and when other kids catch them in height. The only thing they can do is work on their outside shooting and handle on their own time. [/quote]
