I don't foresee this getting much better as they get older, but whatever, my kids were going to have their own interests regardless of gender. More than that, I worry that men in our culture generally just don't have the same kind of emotionally close relationships with their moms as women as adults. Maybe there are individual exceptions but it is a norm. That makes me sad.
