The reason they change the day you observe the holiday is just so people can actually HAVE a holiday, if it falls on Saturday or Sunday, not to give you a three-day weekend nor to make it convenient to throw a party. You pick either the weekend before or the weekend after to call it 4th of July weekend and that's about it. [/quote]
