We have a child with a top 50 name that we hemmed and hawed about for ages because I worried it would be too popular. But we really loved it and couldn't find another name we like nearly so well, so we went with it and hoped for the best. Never met another child with that name. Second child named after a family member and the name was not on the top 1000 when we picked it, now ranked in the 800s. Have met two kids with the same name, one of whom is in the same grade as DC at school.[/quote]
