Go to Nordstrom, Saks, or Bloomingdale's and try on a variety of brands. Ask a salesperson for help, and don't get hung up on labels. What looks best in you might not be a recommended or well-known brand. If you have time, get it tailored (95% of the time, suits will look better with even just a tiny adjustment).
None of those department stores still carry suits. Bloomingdale’s -might- have a Hugo boss option on the floor among their other Hugo boss stuff, but otherwise that’s what you’re stuck with. It’s been that way for at least 15 years. You have to go online or do speciality stores like BB. I recommend the Fold. Suits have kind of become passé for women, especially past a certain age, like maybe past early thirties. The Fold offers non suit really high end work appropriate stuff. MM lafleur is another cheaper option here in the US that will serve you well (note that MM lafleur also doesn’t really sell suits - so this seems to support my position that women past age 30 don’t wear suits anyone for purposes of conservative professional wear).
