Massive grade inflation.  My Deal 7th grader slacked off and had C's in 5 classes of 6 this quarter (3rd) and spent ONE EVENING doing random worksheets and other missing work.  Turned them all in the next day and once these assignments were entered she was back up to straight As. 
It's a complete joke.

That has not been our experience. At DS’ school, they may allow late submissions if a day or two late. But beyond that, the most they can get is 70% and that’s if the got 100%. Many of my DS’ friends are getting Bs and Cs. [/quote]

My kids schools (one charter one DCPS) both take late work with no penalty up until the end of the marking period. I have one kid who always turns things in on time anyway. The teachers are impressed?[/quote]
