If I die in DC, it will be at that intersection.[/quote] This is a classic example of why right turn on red just needs to be banned. Legally the driver has to wait for the crosswalk to clear but in practice drivers are inching into crosswalks and only looking in the direction of traffic to make sure it is clear. The reason right turn on red is dangerous is because drivers do it wrong- you can only turn once the intersection is completely clear and you can't block the crosswalk to do so. So, because so many drivers are inconsiderate morons it needs to be banned for all. [/quote]
