I think there would be people on either side of all of the above and that would impact their response to your original question.

On the recent thread discussing this (within the past month), there was one poster who said they have a friend who loves working at STA, while another has a colleague who used to work there and would never go back.  I'm sure both of those current/former STA employees have very legitimate reasons for their opinions of the institution.

It's the same reason you have lawyers who want to work at big firms and others who want to go it on their own.  Different people value different things.[/quote]
