It means growing/having grown apart, which can happen for a number of reasons and even be the healthiest dynamic for dysfunctional families. We are little to no contact with no regular visits (mutually content with it). They have communicated to me multiple times in the past that I am the executor of their will and I know their relationships with my siblings even less close than ours. [/quote]
