My mother has recently been diagnosed with dementia and I am trying to find any helpful gadgets, devices, etc. that would make her life and my life easier. She lives in an independent/assisted living place in a 1 bedroom apartment. She goes down to the restaurant/dining room to get all her meals so she no longer has to cook. A couple of years ago I bought this clock that has the day of the week, the time and the date in bog, bold letters, which has been helpful. I put one in her living room and one in her bedroom. https://www.amazon.com/Newest-Version-American-Lifetime-Clock/dp/B01NBNF1DH/ref=mp_s_a_1_2_sspa?crid=3NV54T0NS7C29&keywords=elderly+clock+with+date+and+day&qid=1681406892&sprefix=elderly+clock%2Caps%2C179&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUFBUjhPOEQwTlZNQjMmZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTAwODUzNjUxQU9ZNDRBRUtGOCZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMTk3NTYyM0ZBT0NNQzVIWDhBNSZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX3Bob25lX3NlYXJjaF9hdGYmYWN0aW9uPWNsaWNrUmVkaXJlY3QmZG9Ob3RMb2dDbGljaz10cnVl There might be cheaper brands now. I just bought her this medicine dispenser that instead of being weekly has 31 removable plastic pill containers https://www.amazon.com/Daviky-Organizer-Vitamins-Supplements-Medication/dp/B08KVQNM6H/ref=sxin_21_pa_sp_phone_search_thematic_sspa?content-id=amzn1.sym.4eb60503-3b27-4c3f-a2a0-2d7a2b66201c%3Aamzn1.sym.4eb60503-3b27-4c3f-a2a0-2d7a2b66201c&crid=C756PP2BPBV4&cv_ct_cx=monthly+pill+organizer&keywords=monthly+pill+organizer&pd_rd_i=B08KVQNM6H&pd_rd_r=39ec2153-eed7-4ffa-8280-5efbd29490c4&pd_rd_w=vsZjd&pd_rd_wg=hQ7VO&pf_rd_p=4eb60503-3b27-4c3f-a2a0-2d7a2b66201c&pf_rd_r=5ABYWZ9M7GET7QGK0TAF&qid=1681406976&sbo=RZvfv%2F%2FHxDF%2BO5021pAnSA%3D%3D&sprefix=montjly+%2Caps%2C192&sr=1-2-2b34d040-5c83-4b7f-ba01-15975dfb8828-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExOEVBSFFUVTRVWjFTJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMTU1NDMxWUhITjVUTjJTRFM4JmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTAyNjI1NTgzR0NMWjlKRVNaNTNSJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfcGhvbmVfc2VhcmNoX3RoZW1hdGljJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ== I fill the 31 containers the first if the month then go every 2-3 days and take her those days worth if medication. She takes one then I leave the medication in the same place and call her the next night or two nights in the evening and remind her to take medication. I gave her her medication and tell her to set down phone and take it while I am still on the line. Anyone have other helpful things for seniors?
