We’d been talking about switching to a PHEV or an EV in the next couple of years. Then a tree fell on our only car. Waiting to hear from insurance but given that every piece of the body work is damaged and the car is more than ten years old, we think it will be totaled. I’d prefer not to have to find a vehicle in a rush. I think we’ll need to get whatever is available - unless there is some kind of stop gap solution? Maybe a long term rental?
