DS was scheduled to take the 2nd SAT yesterday and his 2nd ACT next week. He woke up yesterday and said "I'm done with the test. I did my best, and I don't want to take it again. Either I am good enough, or I am not."

At first, I was mad and thinking he was slacking, but after a few hours of thinking it over, I liked where he was coming from. If he scores higher, he may end up in a place that is a reach for him and struggle. I apologized for sending him the message that his awesome scores were not good enough.

He has decided to apply to school that are top rated, but not ivy league or super reaches.

I couldn't be prouder and I want to share with ya'll that this feels good.

He got into the magnet for high school, yet he chose to stay at his home school. He did great. Sometimes, as Mary Poppins says, "Enough is a good as a feast."

I am one proud mom today.
