I totally understand the appeal of the suburbs and could see myself living there. They understand the appeal of the city and most used to live here. We don’t see each other as much as we used to but I think that’s more a function of kids/work than distance. It’s often easier to visit suburban friends than someone who lives in another part of the city because it’s easier to park. “City people and suburb people can’t be friends” is like some 4th grade logic. Being able to maintain friendships over time with people who don’t just make the same lockstep choices as you is a sign of maturity.[/quote]
