Go back and take another look, Jeff. It wasn’t just me. Also great job assisting in the bullying of DCUM posters! I wasn’t sock-puppeting and it was pretty clear from context that I was making multiple points. There was nothing I did wrong, but this intervention of yours is designed to embarass and chill participation. Now let me ask - does OP of this thread come to you repeatedly to tattle to gain perceived advantage in an argument?
Plus one to this. This is terribly disappointing (not sure how to tag Jeff) There is another thread where the "it's inflammation " poster linked to a Harvard article where the headline has words like "autism" and "inflammation " and "study". They posted the article as if it supported the idea that Harvard conforms a link. But, with any modicum of reading comprehension, you can understand the Harvard article actually says that the more autistic a person is--the LESS inflammation was found in their study. It is thoroughly Exhausting to continue to refute junk ideas from abilist people who keep posting lies about autism research. To In fact, autism does not only effect the brain. It effects the body, including but not at all limited to gut microbiome. There's a hyperfocus on inflammation and gut health because people are trying to find an underlying sickness. There isn't one. Autistic people eat like crap and have extremely limited food choices so of course. It's really maddening that people can post the same junk Science again and again and the burden is on the opposing view to refute it each and every time. If there was ONE poster on the original thread: Good for them! I'd like to thank them for doing the heavy lifting. They might just be the only one with the patience to try to correct misinformation and lies, but they are certainly not the only one who knows better.
SMH. I'll never understand why so many posters feel free to make bizzare, ignorant comments about autism that they wouldn't dream of making toward other groups. It's really disheartening. Please, just stop. It's hard enough out here as it is.
