Just because of availability at the library we ended up listening ot some random audiobooks - the Jungle book was suprisingly good.  Also 101 dalmations.  And The wind in the WIllows.

We also listened to a Terry Prachett audio book called Only you can save mankind.  It's a little weird, and there were some things in it that my son did'nt like (there was a car accident that freaked him out), but it was clever.

Which reminds me, BBC sounds has some fun radio programs, or there are podcasts for this age group too that we used to listen to.

Also, even if you've read Harry potter thoroughly, I LOVED the time we spent listening to Jim Dale's Harry potter books.  SO SO Good.  (and then I would lsiten to Bingemode Harry potter when i Was commuting without the kids, to get a hilarious more adult, but also very nuanced analysis of them).  [/quote]
