Woke up this morning and for the first time in months she wasn't barking to get us up for a 4am potty break. She slept until 10am, when I woke her up. Also this week  - she'd also been getting more and more lethargic and had entirely stopped wagging her tail. She had accidents in our bed and nipped our son. She had to be carried back from a short 1 block walk.

Anyway, we had an otherwise normal morning until my son announced that the dog had pooped in the house again. This time though, it was because she was having a massive seizure. Rushed her to the ER vet who diagnosed brain tumor. We talked for a long time about options and what life would be like for her and us with this disease - on top of the IBD, PICA, etc - and decided it was time.

So, I held her in my arms and told her I loved her while I scratched her ears they way she used to love. She made the sweetest happy snort noises, just like she used to do as a puppy, and then she went to sleep. She was 14 years old. I am heart broken.[/quote]
