That's a really sketchy AAU coach. The couple who DD has played for will flat out not coach kids who play for their high school teams. [/quote]

Well of course the coach will favor an AAU player who likely plays basketball year-round on very competitive AAU teams and/or travel! The competition has been training and playing prior to MS. Many coaches also run summer camps, watch local travel and AAU teams play and therefore have already identified talent.

Unfortunately, an "average player" will not likely make a local, large HS team nowadays unless he or she is super athletic or a Big.[/quote]
