They probably have FA (weird how that didn't occur to you in a thread about FA...) but it's irrelevant. The point of the thread is that Lab is stingy with FA even for $105k HHI. When tuition is like $60k. OP doesn't have to share every detail of his/her finances to convey that information.[/quote]

Thank you! That is exactly the point.  We don't have a fancy house and grandparents help.  We get decent aid at their current school.

Having a non SN child in a private is a lifestyle choice. With 105K HHI you probably have one parent staying at home or working part time, this is also viewed as a lifestyle choice. LAB is not known to give out generous financial aid. The school probably thinks that you can re-shuffle your lifestyle choices (like 2nd parent can work or the other child can go to public). I am not saying it's right or wrong, it's just how things shake out in a place like LAB. [/quote]
