Thanks![/quote] The test given in second grade doesn't really serve much purpose, and as a result I think it will be discontinued after this year. (AFAICT it's just meant to be another way of identifying kids capable of doing above-grade-level work). The testing for admission to the 4th/5th graded gifted program (called "highly gifted centers" or HGC) is done in Jan. of 3rd grade for kids who applied in the Fall of 3rd grade.
