$250-300/week here for a family of 4 w/ two teen boys, shopping at Giant or Harris Teeter. Big caveat is that we buy our meat separately, that probably works out to another $50/week. Milk 1-2 gallons (I make yogurt with 1/2 gal every 2nd or 3rd week) Cheese, 1 block Butter, 1 lb (not every week, but most) Sandwich bread, 2 loaves Deli meat, 1-1.5 lbs Lettuce, 2 heads Spinach, 1 bunch or clamshell Cucumbers, 2 Bell peppers, 4 Celery, 1 head (every other week-ish) Cherry tomatoes, 1 big clamshell Avocados, 1-2 Carrots, 1 bag (every other week-ish) Broccoli, 1-2 heads Asparagus, 1 bunch One other vegetable like brussel sprouts or zucchini Fruit - 2-3 pears, a mango or two, maybe a pineapple or cantaloupe. Every other week-ish a bag of small oranges or some apples. One container of berries Pasta, usually 1 lb box Canned goods - usually 2-3 cans of something, either tomatoes or beans or coconut milk Cookies, 1-2 packages Other snacks for lunches & after school - bagged popcorn, chips, mac n cheese, granola bars Other staples, not every week but on rotation, usually at least a couple per week - flour, sugar, spices, oil, vinegar, mayo, peanut butter, jam, dish soap / dishwasher detergent, etc Then usually a few specialty items for the week's menu. This week there was a jar of salsa, tortillas, bagels, cream cheese, potatoes, and sour cream added to the normal list.
