Does anyone know what the actual cut off is for summer school eligibility is this year? There's information online but it's pretty vague.
My understanding is that they had a hard time staffing it last year which lead to significantly reduced number of kids who were able to attend. I think our DC may qualify, and very eager to hear and try to plan. This last minute stuff is incredibly difficult for working parents.
OP here. I was lucky in that my younger child did qualify and was able to attend last year. It helped but it's hard to say how much. I suspect they will qualify again this year but am curious and hope to find some other academic supports this summer if they don't. I agree that it's hard for working parents. At least this year we are finding out ahead of when county camps open registration. There tend to be some camps (particularly those run by Baroody but not through the county, and some others) that don't fill up and have flexibility up until this summer. We are keeping July open for my younger child in the hopes that they qualify, but arer investigating backup options as well.
