It’s always “just do this one little thing.” I’m about to get started working at 4:30 this morning to do “one little thing” over and over so I can be ready for school in a few hours. I’ll then do more little things for an extra 3-4 hours tonight. I also worked until 10:30 last night. I’m drowning here. Drowning.
I hope you aren’t a secondary teacher. Everything should be on Schoology and there is no excuse for that. I list every homework assignment and assessment so they can see it on their calendar. It’s a priority over other things that can go. Sorry to the parents who don’t get same day email replies or the team meetings I don’t always make on time. My Schoology pages are up to date. I see my own children’s pages and my high schooler doesn’t have any teachers that do this. A couple link Google calendars of some sort, which parents can’t view. Many don’t put in anything at all. There isn’t any excuse for this and it’s embarrassing to other teachers. It doesn’t take 3-4 hours. If it does, you are not organized with your own planning and that is the real problem.
