They’re stealing cars because it’s thrilling and they have no concept of discipline or morality. They have nobody looking out for them, and no future to concern themselves with. The latter is in part because they are poor. Until we discipline these kids and make it not worth their while to steal cars, they won’t stop. [/quote]

No future[i] that they are aware of.[/i]  They have futures, but not if they persist in destroying them.   Also, you don't just wake up one morning with a glock in your lap and decide to carjack.  There likely was already a long history prior.  It's time for their bullshit to end.[/quote]
