Wouldn’t say she’s toxic but her and others in Bernie land want perfection, as in full acceptance and implementation of their far left policy goals. Anything less is criticized. They’re more likely to see those policies realized if they accept and support incremental progress. AOC understands this. Better is good even if it’s not best.
I’d love to hear how just *once* Nina and/or her compatriots demand/want ‘perfection’. And remember, almost the entirety of their program is milquetoast modern social democracy, which the U.S. was a leader in until the 1970s/1980s. I don’t know of anyone intelligent who thinks that is anything like ‘perfection’. The real reason Nina (and Bernie) are regarded as toxic is that they dare cast aspersions on putatively sacrosanct Democratic Party. But the Democrats (capital “D”) are at heart entitled children. That there are voters who still reliably fall in line for the children who run the Democrats is widely more concerning than calling out those same children on some of their BS, even if sometimes their criticism is misguided. And unfortunately, there absolutely is some falling in line with the BS by Nina+Bernie, but they at least acknowledge there’s serious problems.
