[/quote] I disagree, although the "I went to school in Boston" does annoy me, too. DH has a PhD from Harvard and the name is a conversation-killer for most people we know (especially men). People either start overthinking what they say (so as to not look dumb, I guess) or start blabbering and puffing themselves out (so that they don't feel dumb, I guess). DH is from the Boston area, too, so he definitely grew up in an area where the H-bomb was a real issue, but it's not a non-issue down here, either.[/quote]
