I saw a posting that really rung true too - Imagine having a history so scary no one wants you to learn about it. Take that. a step further - imagine having a history so scary that you and generations of your family are only just now starting to get a foothold in this country. That's a real thing, but no one wants to confront that. When you see the actual wrath that the Rs are going after the Black, Jewish, Asian, LGBTQ, etc. community, maybe you'd understand DEI a little better.
